Learnosity’s essay questions had no way for students to include handwritten diagrams or math alongside their typed response, even though that’s often how students explain their thinking best. I led the research and design for a feature letting students upload and integrate images into their essays, working closely with the product team to balance student stress, image quality, and a grader’s need to review it all clearly.
